The fifth White House Communications Director since the start of Trump’s Presidency is now stepping down.
Hope Hicks confirmed to the media she plans to depart in the coming weeks. The news of the resignation came a day after Hicks appeared before the House Intelligence Committee, where she admitted to having told ‘white lies’ for Trump.
Meanwhile, Trump has had an hour-long meeting with both Democrats and Republicans addressing gun control. Trump said, “lawmakers are petrified of the NRA,” as he again suggested arming teachers and improving background checks/restricting access to weapons for the mentally ill, to prevent attacks.
